Awesome Tip: How VaynerMedia is Using Kind Candor To Put Employees First

Work environments and company culture are extremely important to a business as the overall morale of the employees, managers, and executives play a huge factor in how successful that business can be. The problem that many businesses face is that they do not have effective ways of instilling a work culture where employees feel safe, free to speak their minds, and do not live in fear of losing their jobs. In this episode of the “GaryVee Audio Experience”, Gary is joined by the Co-Founder of Handel Group, Beth Weissenberger to discuss what a healthy work environment looks like, how to avoid bad experiences at work, the language of accountability, and more! 1. Hi Gary I've been flipping/reselling for four years now and I'm having a lot of trouble in deciding if I want to sell certain items or hold. I've made an easy 500 this past week which was cool. How do I know if I should hold an item long term? What do you focus on first in your business? I just started keeping an accounting journal and took accounting in HS which has actually helped. Do you think I should study more accounting? Idk if you will read this but thank you for everything you do…

  2. How do you candur when someone is coming to you when they are the ones you learned from and got training from about how they are pissed off about the supervisor not hearing them out and doing anything about the issues from another shift that are causing our shift to have to undue or do more work because of others not fully doing there job correctly. I see where they are coming from but our supervisor can only do or say so much until it seems like it complaing….

  3. Thanks Gary and Beth!
This really helped me out, I’m having a tough time with my manager right now. I keep telling myself he’s unqualified, but after watching this video I’m going to do some more self reflection and evaluate what I can do differently.

  4. regarding 18:50 – Language of Accountabillity:
would you then say, that context is unimportant for this matter? I often encountered problems and failed timelines but OWNING it and giving context simply additional to that helped tremendously. not only can the other side/part expect and reschedule things, but both can learn and work on the symptoms or root-cause so that it won't happen again or not that severe.
