To the guy with the planners at 1:04:47 …
This is what I would do….
1.) Free + Shipping Offer on the physical planner for the first one and then auto-bill quarterly at $29 (or whatever your break-even is on the front end after buying traffic). At this price point that works out to $116 per year, which is $9.67 per month. It could be billed quarterly at $29 or annually at $97.
2.) After getting their info, upsell them into an online membership program and app at either $9.99/mo ($97/yr) or $97/mo ($997/yr). Like Gary said, it’s either one of the two spectrums… and it all depends on the quality of valuable content that dictates what you should be charging.
3.) Create high-ticket live events that sell for $497-997, then invite the experts in the topics covered by your product. Also take a look a virtual seminars that can be run as lead-gen campaigns that lead into your other products.
I think the biggest takeaway is to not be afraid of breaking even on the front end with the product that doesn’t scale (physical item) and making money on the back end with scalable digital products and high-ticket events.
This is all just my personal opinion of course 🙂
That bald guys story is in "Made to Stick" Chip Heath & Dan Heath
Guy on the right of Gary getting a neck cramp from nodding so much and he never even talks strategy on his own business and ambitions. Absolutely bonkers.
I'm astonished by the people that sat there like lumps on a log the entire time. What a collossal waste.
men's grooming company? check out Duke Cannon. I love their products, they donate to veterans, and their marketing is great and funny.
