  1. GaryVee, i suggest to your team to install a permanent overhead shotgun boom mic in your office rooms. Setting up the wireless lav mic is still a few minutes waste of time. Just a suggestion! I can see a lot of time to be shaved off 😀

  2. Hey GVee! I've had a burning question for a while now. Two things you said really stuck with me but I feel like they are contradictory. First take away I heard you say was to eat shit until your 30, or while everyone is on the jersey shore getting some, or at happy hour, you were working. No one heard of you until your 30s. Face in the dirt, no noise. But then a bit ago, you said document, don't create. Now does that mean document your journey from the start, all the awkward shit videos and content? Which is best? Document the journey? Or eat crow in silence until you have your noise maker? Cheers my friend

  3. This is exactly why I watch all of these videos more than once. Did catch things that you missed the first time. Gary said that he was making videos for nine years before things took off. Definitely puts perspective on hard work. Hard work definitely can pay off

  4. Working on taking a step back right now. Im 32 but better late than never. I tried doing this for a couple of years the wrong way. I tried hacking the system and doing something that would "make me popular fast". Sticking to what I am good at and passionate about. Patience.

  5. Gary is 100% correct here. Everyone better take them some steps back to to make better steps forward tomorrow. Once you have the family and all of life’s stuff boy it’s harder to take those steps back. Thanks Gary so much fire here with this one.

  6. Dear Gary, you hit the nail on the head. For five years I've been a "full-time artist" and until only recently I realized I was resting on the "laurels" of saying that. In reality I had so much anxiety about when I'd sell my next painting, or if I'd make enough money for a flight to my friend's wedding. It was all for my ego, to say "I'm a full-time oil painter in New York." Well, I have another passion (and remember your video about "wuzzling.." haha!) My other passion of fitness is in full effect again due to massive lifestyle transformations in EVERY area, due to this wakeup call. I will now be leading bootcamps at a brand new gym 3x/week (to balance with painting time), have started a donation only bootcamp once a week in my neighborhood to develop community, and have just taken on my first client for personal training. (all this in less than a month) I am infinitely more at ease and the worry of money has been taken off the table leaving my mindset in a much healthier frame to continue my life as an artist and PT. The shedding of ego…. It's all a matter of DOing. Love you Gary! <3

  7. I was forced to take my step back. A disease took my legs (not literally) where I cant walk, my wife left me because she did not sign on to nurse a crippled, and had to sell off a business I just started for a loss. Currently living with my dad at 45 eating Top Ramen and Peanut Butter again to save every dollar to start my next business. Thank God the disease has not taken my mind. Currently I am the happiest I have been in 18 years. Currently working on my next start up with a VC Firm that will be my 1st exit. I had to realize I had to step back to get the idea that is going to make me the happiest ever. Love ya Gary V.

  8. Hey Gary, interesting observation…when you are spitting your knowledge, your wisdom and teachings into your device, you are literally talking to yourself….is that the ultimate in self-motivation?
