  1. "It's not just hustle. It's not just talent. It's not just serendipity. It's not just timing. It's not just leadership. It's not just emotional intelligence. It's f**kin all of it!" Absolutely this, my man.

The early bird gets the worm, but only if he knows how to fly right?

  2. OHH yeah thanks for reminding me gary.. is anyone here a website developer. i got something thats moving. we can share the business profits. you just have to create the website for free and ill do the rest.
    .
let me know and we'll talk it out

  3. The think about GV is that he has that 'every man' appeal. He talks in layman's terms and it's so much more effective than the majority of figures out there. Good looks, GV. Your info has sincerely helped me. Hopefully we can do business one day, or I can destroy you at a big speaking conference (in the best possible way).

  4. Just saying look deep inside workout that one thing you shine at.
Then find other people just as hungry as you, that are 1000s of times better than you at the things you cant do.
and your away, easier said than done, NO ONE SAID IT IS EASY!!

PS Really wish i had learnt how to use other peoples money earlier in my life!

  5. hey gary first off thank you so much youve changed my whole family's perspective showed you to my parents and theyre addicted lol QUICK QUESTION: if you were in your 20s and your dad owned a semi truck business instead, what would you do in this day in age to get more clients and build the business? once again thank ill keep continuing to show everybody if youll keep being great lol

  6. I've gained so much from Gary's videos than I have in all my economics and financial classes together. Gary is giving the knowledge that only the elite knows, information is Life that's why I LOVE you Garyvee!

  7. This guy needs to execute on finding people that are strong where he's weak and get them on his team. Easier said than done… took me over a year to find my technical co-founder. That was the easy part. Only gets harder.

  8. There are some common consistencies in Gary's videos that I'm really loving right now.

1 – Play to your strengths
2 – Go all in, on the fights you can win and ignore the others
3 – Self awareness, if you don't have it, the first two points are of no use.

  9. Yo Gary.

    3 questions.

I'm a sophomore in college and started a coffee roasting business that delivers premium fresh roasted beans to desired roast level (light – medium) the next day by bicycle in my town, or shipped elsewhere.

So far it seems I'm only able to sell through cold calling and maybe word of mouth to people I know really well; I've only had one or two truly organic customers. I have an Instagram I've grown to almost 500 followers (@spokescoffeeroasters) that are mostly local to my area and a wordpress website (link in Instagram bio), but it's been about 5 months and no growth with unique customers (people I don't know) is occurring.

1.) What do you think is keeping me from selling to "strangers"?

I also make 50% profit per bag, but due to multiple constraints due to living conditions, I'm unable to scale up and only able to roast one bag at a time. Right now I charge very little in an effort to grow my customer base as I'm starting out, and frankly it's not enough profit to be worth my time. I mostly do it because I enjoy it and I think there's potential for profit that I haven't unlocked yet. I don't yet have the customer base to increase my raw materials order for full advantage of economies of scale.

2.) What do you think I can do to grow my profits? Branch out into other items etc.?

I realize there are a million coffee shops and roasters everywhere, and most of them are absolutely killing the social media game. As someone with very little time to devote to my company's social media,

3.) what do you think I can do to stand out and grab the attention of the right people?

Thanks for your help, you've been my motivator to just get up every morning and crush it, been watching for about a year now.

    Grant.
