Awesome Tip: What it Means to Make $100,000 in America | Gary Vaynerchuk Keynote Washington D.C 2018

Absolutely loved this keynote that I gave in Fairfax, Virginia at the National Achievers Congress in 2018… By far, the most impactful part of this keynote is when I get the audience to raise their hands about making $100,000. You have to understand that the top 1% earners in America starts at $450,000 a year… not a million.

  1. I have been building an audience around my passion, which is gaming, over the last 2 years. It’s been growing and it’s about to start moving quick. I have been giving my audience all the info and they live it. I just don’t have anything to sell. I feel like i’m backwards form most businesses.

  2. I mostly agree with you about complaining. But I think there’s a difference between “complaining,” and needing to “tell my story” and be heard. So for example, someone coming out of an abusive relationship—if all they are doing is complaining about what a victim they have been, that does them no good. But if what they are doing is telling their story over and over, trying to understand it and reframe it, needing to be heard (which I think is fundamental to being human, needing to tell stories and needing to be heard), then that’s something I believe we need to have patience with. Unfortunately, without context (as you always point out) it’s not always easy to see the difference.

  3. I'm in the trenches, grinding hard. Haven't taken a wage in 9 months so I can grow my business. Been punched in my business face more than mist people my age. But the biggest ah-hah moment for me " if you're not crushing it on Facebook ads or not getting resaults… it's because you suck".
True, so true. Now I'm focusing on actually doing something about it and sorting my shit out

  4. I heard 4, basic, crucial life lessons/observations from Gary’s speech; trans into Millennial-speak:
    1. If you’re not online (with a social media buy plan), you’ll be on the breadline.
    2. Everybody wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die.
    3. Shit, Goddamn — Get off your ass and jam.
    4. Don’t worry, Be happy.

  5. I have 1 year of community College,I self taught myself,,all this computer, internet shit, and I'm steady learning more.I'm getting better and better. That's my Achievement in itself to me,I'm proud of myself, because Most 56 year old,Can't do ,what I'm doing,,ha ha yeah. I know, I'm on the "RIGHT" Side of HISTORY. https://teespring.com/hard-worker?cross_sell=true&cross_sell_format=newest&count_cross_sell_products_shown=46#pid=11&cid=360&sid=front

  6. I take that "L" With Pride,Because,I haven't spent more than 20.00,and I really wasn't doing ,my Content right. 2 Years,I got 3 Sales,Every since I got my p.c. I wanted to prove to myself, that this machine, could make me some "MONEY". to date it has made me about $1500 Dollars,Mostly from Beggin, and Convincing people to help me with money. I'm Fuckin inspired the Way you Go HARD , with no regrets. That energy,is a Drug for me. So I don't give a Fuck ,if I don't Sell nothin else,I have "LEGACY" NOW, For My Great Great Grand Kids. They're going to watch me,and Build some Wonderful. https://teespring.com/lord-hustler?page=3&tsmac=store&tsmic=mr-a-j-designs-2#pid=11&cid=2492&sid=front

  7. I've seen this same video (but in other videos lmao) like 10 times but this one had so much energy, loved this. Gary's right in that imma regret being the 98.9% but im still figuring out how to communicate. Imma have to clear up some 7pm-2am's to try and test but it'll sadly have to wait till im less busy (or hungrier lmao)

  8. I live on a small island and shipping anything from here costs a fortune. We have no lines for Yeezys, I even don't know if they sell them here LOL If anyone, living in America is crying, I would be glad to swap places 🙂

  9. I will never be able to understand why people need to be making even $80k a year to be happy unless they have dependents to support. I know everyone lives life differently and some people genuinely get their happiness from possessions… I just feel like that sort of mindset just isn't as good as getting your happiness from doing things rather than owning things.

  10. I know what I’m passionate about, and I know what I’m working towards, and I’m willing to eat shit as long as It allows me to keep doing it! Money isn’t my goal it’s the opportunity to keep pursuing my passion ❤️

  11. Pure diamonds in this keynote. Self Awareness , Accountability & Adaptation to the way the world is now, take advantage of the fortunes the internet has to offer!

"The number one asset in the world is other peoples attention. Their attention is in play, it lives on the phone, here are our top platforms (insta, facebook, youtube) and you need to figure out how to be in there "

Another analogy; "The internet is basically a highway to our lives, facebook, apple and google were so good they figured out how to be toll booths on those highways, every persons job is to figure out how to become the best toll booth collector inside that toll booth"

  12. Staying at my parents right now, going through a divorce. Every other week I get my kids. Was able to keep my job (transferred it to my parents town) and so I'm still working. I'm just a little lost in my head right now. I have my tools in my parents shop, I can resume running my business at any moment now. I'm just… struggling to do anything but exist right now. So, i guess, thank you for the advice, I feel like this is my opportunity to figure me out and really figure out if I am meant to be an employee or a business owner or perhaps a little bit of both, but right now the moment has me. I can't wait to escape it…
