Man, we sell wine when all you do is nothing but whine, taking them shots for Gary when he grinds like he's nothing less than Bloody Mary.   11. when i first saw him, on a motivational video, i thought to myself like man this guy is aggressive,but know the more i listen to him,i'm starting to like his stuff,f it i allready like his stuff its some good sh*t, he is real,and he f puts it out there,its not aggressive it the fucking truth.

  17. This video has given me some positive reinforcement of something i've learned from Gary much earlier. I thought I was faking it for so long without ever realizing I had actually made it along the way. I didn't feel like I provided proper entrepreneurial context to my long time clients, or customers. Then, one day, I realized after what I'll refer to as my "self-audit", did I write all my things down, that I hadn't actually been faking anything the entire time. I was doing what I wanted to do, living the happy work/life balance. working hard to make coin, playing hard when i'm home. After 15 years, only in the last few months of 2016 did I make this realization, that i've been a successful businessperson, entrepreneur this entire time. I never called myself this, because I hated the douchey personalities of the atypical douch-ents. (douchey entrepreneurs), and feared adopting that label. Gary If I've learned anything from you, i've learned that you don't have to be a douche to be a successful entrepreneur. I remember when I used to be ashamed to be an Entrepreneur–the thought of marketing myself as one is still growing on me… I went to business school in 2000 expecting to be the class joke, and instead found myself admired as the only self employed person there. I have been selling things since I was a kid–fossil rocks on the side of a mountain road, pumpkin pies door to door in out tiny town…not very successfully much of the time, but I keep showing up. I am grateful for the internet and people like you who share so much I can learn from. Thank you!

  22. you just said at 3:50 that you would rebrand yourself as BECOMING an entrepreneur as opposed to BEING an entrepreneur and that is EXACTLY what I am doing. I created The Investor Diaries to document my real estate investing career from scratch. I'm a 19 year old female college student and i have an unbelievable passion for the real estate industry. I haven't made a single penny yet since i've started the channel but its not about the outcome, its about the PROCESS and i fully understand that. thank you gary vee for your amazing content. keeping it real since day 1, i really respect that.

    Gary, you just explained something to me – about faking the funk (detailing the journey BEFORE you get there) that has changed my whole perspective on how I will be marketing myself in the future.
