Awesome Tip: If You’re Talented, You Don’t Need to Work As Much | DailyVee 479
If you’re talented, it may only take you an hour to do something that takes someone else three hours… so, what that means is that in the big picture you may not have to work as much. Of course, if you continue to work super hard, you’ll have an even bigger advantage, but don’t stress it too much. I never stressed out when I took Sundays off to watch the New York Jets.

Hustle Energy! Thank you Gary!
That’s a bit left field. Be kind as a person but as a brand: shit on number one!
Gary seen the data so I guess it’s a good idea 🙂
In most European countries it is not legal to do that :p
I am super fucking confused. Wait , Gary previously said that talent isn't enough to become successful, now he's saying talent is enough to become successful . I'm so lost , is this guy contradicting himself?
Gold here thanks Gary!
Perhaps I'm seeing it incorrectly #Garyvee but, you've always said you want to build the biggest building, not by breaking down any others .. but here you say shit on number 1 …. contradictory a bit?
DIS IS WHAT GOT 69 DOING HIS DUMB STUFF :') JKJK <3<3
I used to think if I ran harder I would get faster not realizing I wasn't that fast and was just trying to overcompensate.
Talented people know how to get a lot done without putting so much effort. That's why it looks so impressive when they do it.
So for Anyone Looking for a job/skill set in the next few years audio, video, writing.
You’re a great thought leader Gary! Thank you!
The edit is so good!
I love the new design of these videos that showcases how Gary and his team turns pillar content into micro content. Definitely watching watching what he does.
Can we not use camera audio next time fam
"Every brand if it is not #1, they should shit on #1, as it's entire strategy." Love you.
It’s good always to send that positive energy. I’m loving the vlogs. Always have. The content and the look (design). Thank you Gary Vee and his team.
Good point, which is why you need to focus on your strengths and passions. Hopefully YouTube is something I’m good enough at to keep going.
Still work your ass off, we know what gary means if you are a true gary vee fan. But when you ae talented you need to focus more on honing your craft and reaching out for the opputrtunites in whatever area you desire. Oppurtunity does not just land in your hands like that. For the people that do its like hitting the lottery. its rare. You have to seek these things that you want, its like playing a video game. You dont just sit there and the mission gets done and you get all these rewards. No! you have to go through your mission, die a couple times, learn from your mistakes, advance! But you are in control.
Every accountant or firm debating to go with Vaynermedia, should simply go with me. At Goldlake media, we bring the Vayner jab jab right hook into the accounting world at a fraction of the price and teach you how to scale the unscalable (aka having you make one piece of content and us cutting it into 20 pieces of content across 6 mediums). You're in financial services, but don't want to spend the $100,000+ with Vayner or McKenzie? You go with Goldlake. Tap my YouTube and get started with the free content! (Gary – "Just sh*t on #1")
whoever edited this video is super talented.
New editing style is on point.
Just shit on #1. HAHAHAHA! Love it!
I always found the myth of the talented (but lazy) student/artist/athlete who wins everything very demotivating. I guess we can't influence our talents, but we can ramp up our work hours and intensity to achieve our dreams! Thanks Gary!

is this coming from what happened with LP vs KSI?
You can shit on your competitor or you can act like you're the best one on the market even when you're not yet (like Netflix did)
One thing I like about watching this vids, is it makes me think after almost each and every one of these, and I like that.
Work hard, play harder.
reminds me of mgk being the underdog vs Eminem
I mean like shitting on your competitor…what about unfair competition, i just seems to me that that could be a massive lawsuit trigger
This guy is great, I've been selling candy at my school for a while, and he really helped me get the income up a more, but now i'm thinking about expanding a little more. Any concepts or idea you feel like giving out to junior in high school?
What if you know you have talent in one thing but you don't like it at all?
"Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard."
I disagree with that last bit of advice. Your ONLY competiton is your LAST campaign.
As a brand/marketing strategy, shitting on the other competitor works, but does that work in the micro scale?
For example, climbing the corporate ladder, should you talk shit on your boss or co-workers?
Pick a tram?! In other words pick one group of guys who get paid to chase balls over another?
Ooo that last clip is genius
