Awesome Tip: Are You Doing Business Like a Robot? | Phil Treadwell Podcast

The best brands operate their businesses as people. They don’t do a huge deal with a partner and never talk to them again. They build a relationship over time which can expand their network and lead to more opportunities. So many old school industries are still operating in the same fashion they did over 20 years ago, even though the technology we have now is completely different. Stop doing cold calling because that’s what used to work and go join a facebook group around your town or something you have a common interest in… You will be surprised how well it goes.

  2. Here's the answer to your question you asked in the video. You had asked why do people think they can be successful without bleeding. People like myself will find information for example on YouTube. The thumbnail or title will say something like "how I grew to 10,000 followers in a month". People will watch the video and find tips that they normally wouldn't have tried or tips that they wouldn't have realized. There's more to YouTube than just uploading videos. You have to treat it as the second largest search engine in the world, use key words, make the thumbnail standout, give your audience value and etc. I believe most people are like myself. We want to work but we want to work in the most EFFICIENT way so we can be successful FASTER. You said before in a past video that you wished you put more money in google ad words at the time. You also mentioned in a past video that you passed up on a chance to invest in a company in its early stages. If you would have done it earlier you would have made even more money. Imagine if you were able to apply what you know now to your younger self. That's all people like myself want to be able to do which is take the proper steps to be successful. It doesn't mean we don't want to bleed. We just want to avoid the steps that don't work and concentrate on the steps that do so we can get to success faster. Here's a better example that is RELEVANT to you. Let's say the Jets made it to the Super Bowl. It's 4th down and 2 with 30 seconds left in the game with the Jets trailing by 5 points. You have a crystal ball that allows you to peak into the future. If the Jets pass it they'll get intercepted and lose but if they run it they'll score a touchdown to win the game. What play do you want called? Of course the run play so they can win. That's all people like myself want to do is win. Hope this helps. Thanks for putting out great content!!!

  3. 24:43 you said that people in the real estate industry should be putting out content everyday. In your content model pdf, you suggest using a keynote or similar and then breaking that up into a lot more content. Most of us are not doing keynotes nor do we have long video content to cut up. On the daily, are just short 2 min videos with like a q&a or tip okay (and should we edit these with intros, graphics, etc or just put them out raw?) or should we be focusing on creating longer content to then break up to create memes, short clips, audio, etc?

  4. Sending gifts to your ex clients is the best thing someone can do for your business. 1 million fucking percent agree Gary! Everyone on this feed/channel, Read the book Giftology on kindle unlimited for free or go buy it. Amazing and eye opening on the value of nurturing everyone and every relationship in perpetuity! Check it out! Love you Gary

  5. GaryVee is cool, but guys please don't be like him or your average person would probably suffer from burnout, also, few people have the personality to be Gary or to live by some of his values. Please find your own values, what you are good at, what speaks to you, what work schedule you can handle and the type of business you are designed from birth to be in.

  6. I know this is a mortgage originator podcast, but the same thing applies to real estate investing. I created Bird Dog Real Estate with a community of over 8,000 people within 2 years when other people struggle to build passed a couple hundred people. I'm not bragging, I'm just literally Gary Vee's child. Giving out free education and stressing a positive community helped my group grow without me trying

Real estate content is probably the easiest to create. There are millions of books to share content from. Millions of professionals to interview. Millions of properties to talk about. Older people in the real estate community really have it the easiest, yet, I kinda stole the show at 19 because I wasn't shy or lazy

Also, people in the real estate field have a different type of "personal brand," so they're typically a little snobbish about being on the internet. No shade, but that's literally what I've seen for 3 years. They'll catch on eventually Gary, but it'll be pretty late. Your main audience, people my age, are gonna surpass them. Many of us are already making millions of dollars with your tactics. How do I know? I interviewed them in my Facebook group lolx
