So many people told Gary to stay in his lane when he started his transition in content from wine to more general business and marketing practices. If Gary had actually listened to even one of those cynical comments he would have stopped doing what he felt was right, and sacrificed his own happiness for some anonymous person’s judgment. Gary wants you all to do to the same with your passions, and block out the cynics telling you to stay in your lane.

  1. I think the reason we value other people's opinion is because we don't value ourselves. Their negativity reaffirms your inner fears that you weren't worthy enough. Problem is not people, it's the perception we have about ourselves.

  2. …setting up a "regular" steady (dream) business (on and off-line) with falling and getting up over and over improving resilience, patience and palm tree flexibility + a huge dose of daily rigorous self-reflection is still the most exciting hunt I have ever experienced – next to much to personal stuff…thx for your continuous inspiration Gary bro…let's go Jets! (see you there)

  3. Today is my first day with a company I am really passionate about! I voluntarily cut my salary in half and left a stable corporation for a start up. I switched lanes and I couldn't be happier with my decision!!

  4. "The only thing you need to chase is what to sell, that you believe in, and the second you understand that, you gotta figure out how you're gonna tell the world about the product you believe in: words, video, audio; and then you need to start making, and getting very patient, slow, slow, slow.

The n1 thing that most people hate, is slow, that's the fucking game".
