Yah man Im in hawaii… cause my family wanted me to go… and i feel so outta place I hate vacations. I have been running 3-5 miles every day just to feel like Im grinding at home. Watching people do yoga on the beach is just another reminder i dont enjoy the vacation mindset.
Most of my friends are 6 and 7 figure earners. Do you know what? They are miserable with marital problems. Then you have one of my friends who is supporting a family of 4 with a household income of 50K a year happy as an MF. The high earners are trying to keep up with the Joneses SMH
I earn 45K Net a year on my business and I fuckin love it! My so-called friends make more than me but I have the freedom and spend time with my kids… can't beat that!
Gary/Team, I want to hear more about what you said at the end about non-profits. Got any content I can check out? This is the first time I've heard you make any reference to a non-profit.
As a comedian I use to make anywhere from $1,000 to $1,800 for just 30 to 40 mins on stage and I used to love it! 🙁 but now I'm not doing anything with my life or talent sucks 🙁
FYI…January 2019 New York State minimum salary for overtime exempt employees will be $58,500 per year. How many employees would make less, work more and NOT complain? Not many, that is for sure!
Me too man! I thank you SOOOOOO much for harping self-awareness, it revived me when I was in the dumps in 2016. Found a $47k happy dude and I'm interviewing him in jan! He's my freaking trash man! One of the happiest in his soul dudes I have ever met!
It is all about what you value most. The focus should always be applied to what you value most. For some being with their family, all the time is what brings them joy and others prefer to build and grind for it. Both have value the point is we have only so much time in our day so decide what kind of balance you want. It does not have to be all or nothing they can be 80/20, 70/30, 60/40… etc… one formula does not work for all. If you love things like Netflix because that is the thing that makes you happy then go for it. I can't tell you how many times I sat in front of the TV hoping that there would be a good show on. Waste of time. One reason I don't have a TV or Cable TV.

Money is never the key. I have been doing my youtube for 4 months now, no money, don't even want money, just want to help people and love what i do.
Mental health as a weapon was well said. I feel like a lot of influencers/ start-ups are just jumping on the wagon, but without real intent.
