Awesome Tip: How Disruptive Innovation is Changing the World | DailyVee 561

Gary spent June 5th in Chicago, where he spoke about the future of food delivery and the impact of voice, among other things during a keynote for a VaynerMedia client. There were some great Q&A moments as well, centered around the impact of AI and how to relate to consumers.

This was followed by a super interesting car ride where Gary spoke with Raghav (@raghavharan), a member of Team GaryVee, about his perspective on the ad industry today and how big brands can penetrate new industries with unique ideas. You can also see the origin of “What If Wednesday!”

  1. This is great and more brands should be doing little tests, throwing small rocks, of different ideas to sample markets to see what other product lines would be cool to launch. I mean Amazon was book store, to now selling everything and their real money maker is AWS, cloud connectivity – there's one example.

  2. Okay Gary, This video, is a big one ! alooot of practical advice about brands. After seeing several of you're Dailyvee video, i'mma definitely gonna watch all of them till I reach no. 1. Thanks Gary you're actually changing the way I see almost everything in life.

  3. Love the video but I dont think a lot of the companies that you mentioned are actually "disruptive innovations" because they are already established companies who would put out products in the high-end of the market. If Apple sold a new low-end shoe that was different from the rest and that changed the way shoes were being created/sold then that would be a disruptive innovation. The product has to be inferior to what is on the market at first and then take over the market in order for it to be disruptive.

  4. While watching this the only thing on my mind is brands should stick to their expertise. I def wont buy a tech company launching a sneaker or a clothing company launching a smatt watch. There are customers who are brand-minded and there are quality-minded customers.

  5. Thanks for the content Gary ! To give my two cents I feel like the piano background music makes the content "cliché" motivational video when it's way more than that. But again the content is great as usual
