  1. I watched this video years ago along with "50 second plea to every 50 year old out there"….I took your advise then and I'm still living it every day!! My 3 kids (18,20 and 21) are blown away that i'm up-to-date with all the "social media's" and there's no end in site!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE DAILY REMINDERS of how great life can be if you're focused!!

  2. I'm 65 and the good news is that I have a better understanding of my business now than I did when I was 50. It's easier for me to drop the hype and connect in an authentic way with my audience. It's not the struggle that it was before, and I'm enjoying the work more. I have no plans to retire, because what would I retire to? I love my work!

  3. I needed to hear this, at 50 I'm always thinking that at this point I could go at any time, and I shouldn't think like that. I think a lot of it came from a long marriage that did not end well and now I feel like at 50 what kind of decent relationship could I possibly find at this point

  4. @51 I read your book Jab Jab Jab and it changed my life by giving me hope and direction to FOCUS and my accumulated knowledge and use it to build a legacy for my family. Never in my life would anyone could have convinced me that I would have to begin again, yet here I am 2 yrs later doing just that. AND MORE importantly finding my way to really know this is where I need & want to be. Grateful & gratified for the first time in my life. I am indebted to you Gary Vee, indebted.

  5. Things is we've been told all our lives that we need to have it all figured out and our money made by 50. Some did, some didn't, but more then the age factor, its the bullshit "tape cassette" fueled by our 80s education, our neighbors , families, egos….and what "the system" wants us to believe that keeps this demolishing ideas running in our heads. So Props to you GaryVee for helping those of us who needed to hear this. I've been a new business entrepreneur for the last 2 years and i'm looking at starting a youtube channel about badass 50 year olds who won't quit. We have LIFE experience, knowledge, resilience, contacts, ideas, health, amongst others that younger kids don't yet have, there is no REAL reason to stop and get depressed!!, Like what are you gonna do? Sit on your chair reminiscing…for 40 years??? Just think about that…

  6. I hope this content is right. But I don’t know If I’ll have a lot of time.left. I had a heart attack at 43 and have done the meds and eating healthy since. Many of the men in my family died in their 50’s so I hope i buck it, re Bucky that trend and live to 65 or even 75. Thank you for this content it gives me hope

  7. Thanks man for this motivation.Ive been stuck with same company for the best part of 20 years I'm 46 and have started to think of working for myself via a booking agency(for the last year) that will offer me job slots.I just need a few more years to get my mortgage in the right place .But on my 50th birthday on 7th of July 2021 I'm handing in my notice and going to work for myself as a freelancer. Thanks you just kicked out the winding down mentally out of my mind. You just gave me the final push to do this.

  8. The statement that "You as a 50 yr old will live longer than your parents." is not necessarily true.  Earlier this year (2017) the life-expectancy in the USA dropped for the first time since before WWII. What with the lousy, toxic food mostly with decreasing levels of nutrients, the general health of the Baby-Boomers is rapidly deteriorating. The early BBs (1945-60) will probably be the longest-lived generation in history. We were born during and just after food rationing. Our parents had limited access to foods such as sugar, making them healthy. The BBs born after that are not healthy. Their mothers started serving them TV-dinners and other "foods" out of boxes. Breast-feeding was "old-fashioned. Their fathers stopped growing a vegetable garden, so what may have appeared to be healthy; was not.  When looking at BBs you really need to be aware of all this.   I was born in 1948, in England, during food rationing (food rationing didn't completely end in Britain until Sept 1954). I am in perfect health, I have all my own teeth and only need reading-glasses. I still grow a vegetable garden which I manually dig each year.

  9. Gary how do you deal with people who send you mixed messages ? They wonder why I am "doing nothing" and praise me
for the stuff I supposedly like when I just turned my back almost completely with the past. I hung out with the wrong circles
which actually hurt me. I am not doing "nothing" but simply overwhelmed by living.
There are people who want a job but are on disability so we are afraid of getting a job. I would like to be an entrepreneur but barely understand the computer. The internet is ageist!
Will be 50 soon. I am so sick of being dependent on my parents since I never learned life schools at the mostly useless
    skills I went to…
    Thank you though… I need a push…

  10. Gary – Thank you for the video. 50? There are plenty of us in our 60s that are saying "Now, it's my time!" One advantage we may bring to the table is that we've grown not to care what anyone thinks so we have more time for "what do I want". Thanks again!

  11. My mom just turned 46. (not quite 50 lol) but she is starting her own business. and I'm so proud of her. after 4 kids, a long divorce and lost of family. she is still fighting and going after everything she wants. I can't wait to see her succeed.
