#garyvee the reason Harvard etc. dilute their brand and offer online courses is because they want to help people get education and jobs — to bring more economic equality worldwide. They’re willing to take the hit in order to do the good. The Harvard community is highly aware that the brand is in danger. The administration does not let that stop them from giving back. Plus — look at you Gary!! You give it away for free. Has it backfired on you? Hell no.
"when you're overthinking, you're slow. When you're slow, somebody passes you" wow that hit me hard Gary… I just struggle with this so much cause I don't want to make my name look bad just to have quantity and speed. Like how do I link this so my branding is also on point
OBSERVATION: People need to understand they get horror stories and experience crisis too often to not debate things. If a person is experiencing crisis after crisis they are not going to feel confident to take unnecessary risks. If a person has a very stable life with stable people, taking risks becomes astronomically easier. When you know there is no one to catch you should you feel, taking unnecessary risks is a fools errand. It's like asking someone to walk a tight rope and you tell them there is no net if they fall. How can you not see what people desperately need? They need reassurance. They need to know if they slip they won't lose an eye in the process. People have no idea what to expect and so nothing is unreasonable to them. Identify the behavior and then identify the root, then we move forward. People need to know to create their own safety net, then they will be willing to take risks.

Gary (I hope you get this, cuz this really hasn't been covered. To my understanding)At 18:38 you bring up: "Way too many people dismiss people who disagree with them as haters or trolls." I know what I'm about to ask isn't exactly the same, but it's in the same ballpark.
What do you do in a situation where people who disagree with you try and ruin you? Who are haters, I guess. Who spend their time spreading bad things about you in a social situation trying to stop other people from interacting with you biased on THEIR opinion of you? A situation where you are currently forced into an environment where you HAVE to be around these people who are trying to get you fired or ruin your 'street cred'.
