Rafeal’s Page:
If I were to go back in time and start all over again, I would change NOTHING. From 22 to 32, for the first ten years of my hustle, I remained quiet and I put in the work. I did the work that allowed me to have the audacity to go out and build the Gary Vaynerchuk brand.
The notion that there’s people out there that are growth hacking, and getting exposure through other people’s podcasts, and leveraging the brands of others to build themselves as “experts,” is LUDICROUS. What are these people actually experts in? What have they accomplished to be deemed an expert?
Here’s what I did and why I think you should listen to me when it comes to business. I am in the midst of building my second $50M plus business in a 5 year window. Is it $50 Billion? No – but it’s a very substantial business. I was ahead of the market and I executed. I put in the work, I built up the business at a speed many can’t comprehend, and I did the things that allowed me to be worthy enough to have a shot at putting out a $15-20 book and amass the following that I have.
So my question is, what did these self-proclaimed experts do to claim that title? If you want to be an “expert” in your craft you need to be in the trenches, day in and day out. You can’t just rely on modern day technology to build up your brand. The notion that people are leveraging these technologies and the brand equity of others to build their name is LAUGHABLE. You need to actually execute. You need to earn the opportunity to be a personal brand. You need to show them the proof. If you’re an actual expert the proof should be in your forethought, your wins, and your execution.

14 Minutes on is EXACTLY what I needed to hear today Gary. THANK YOU!
Love watching these videos. Thank you Gary Vee. All your advice has helped me grow my business to where it is today !!!
Thats Mr. Venernation please. Loved the stuff about staying quiet for the first 10 years and making something first. Thats what I have been picking up about self Awareness lately. I might personally know I can do and achieve things but the market doesn't know yet. So when you talk about self Awareness I've been taking it recently to mean where am i in life at this moment and what is the NEXT step not the Ultimate goal. The next step is to get out of debt and work extremely hard on my mindset. i dont have a negative mindset about life. Im just super negative about myself. Thanks Mr. Vee
love it gary
Building awareness of social media is huge, and Gary is the man for that. I'm following his work since not so long, and gosh the value that I get!
Having been in college and currently working at a college, I can tell you, the best teachers talks TO people, not AT or DOWN to people. Education of any type would be so much better if everyone spoke to their audience/students instead of acting like they are so superior. I told a professor before, “we all know you’re a doctor, but you’re allowed to be human. Let’s have some real talk.”
7:15 This is how I look at the word understand. Don't understand people, comprehend them. No one what's to be stood over. Compression implies an exchange of information on the same level.
My product content is about Good Times in Vegas with a Positive State Of Mind.
You explained this perfectly and I loved a lot of your points. I am definitely going to add that into my next video and shout you out.
Stop marketing yourself when you’re nothing. Do some work. Get experience. Get your chops. Sure, document the journey and growth, but stop promoting yourself as if you’ve already made it.
You don’t have to be a player to be a coach, but you have to be around the game for a long time and know everything about the game.
Damn so since we don’t have the infrastructure Gary does to create content at scale, we should all be curating content related to the content we’re trying to create to get people’s attention
GaryVeeNation = Citizen
GaryVeeManiac = Love you today gone tomorrow
I'm a GaryVeeNation and I appreciate every content you put out there.
Hey Gary, thanks for your great advices on marketing. I am worried about fake influencers buying fake followers on instagram and then pretend to be "infuencers" on instagram. So, whenever we giveaway our stuff to the influencer, we need to make sure they are really influencers. (by scanning through their follower list or seeing their account interaction.) This was from my social marketing experience!
I'm just learning about GaryVee and really blown away with all his practical tips. I also like what he mentioned about talking TO people. Thanks a lot!
WHO'S HERE IN 2019

Wow…look where is he now
the amountnof words and content gary crams into 2 -3 minutes of one question is ridiculous fast and hard to appreciate until I take the time to handwrite it and convert it into my personal life manual. thank you for the intensity
2018 september 27….taking notes bro
Love everything you say, listening all the time 🙂
Man this is great info. I have a whole new different prespective now of creating my brand.

Raw content, every time! I will never get over that aspect of Gary. I needed to get some thoughts I developed throughout this episode, so here I am. You mention a skill set in the beginning that a lot of us have been raised into and are growing into; DJ-ing. I would define this as a mixture of others content but also adding your thoughts; a remix. We do this daily on facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, you name it! Honestly, we don’t even realize we’re playing DJ because it has become such a norm in today’s age. So hearing you recognize this a skill set gave me a slight boost of perseverance. What I find quotable is, “You look at what’s happening in EDM and other places of that nature, DJs, people that are able to take a lot of different things and put ‘em together, it’s truly like being a great chef, isn’t it?” You already have me hooked when I began watching episode 34, but within 1 minute and 30 seconds and this quote spilled out I was hooked for the rest of that 16 minute video. Think about how much more content I got out of this episode rather than me absorbing content elsewhere. You did that, you provided raw material that you take so much pride for, and gained a view. Man, so many thoughts within 2 minutes. The rant about the importance of curated content made me feel better when I do this. I think sometimes we feel as if we should keep quiet about said subject because it’s been curated so many times before that. But that’s the thing, it happens, it’s going to happen, it is happening but do we still absorb that content?! Fuck yes we do. So why care about how many times someone shared the #InMyFeelings challenge, if you think it’s good content, share it too! You have gained real followers that keep up with you, instead of the other way around that a lot celebrities do – keep up with them.
Garyvee my son introduce me to your Channel and I’m hooked. Love your energy and knowledge. Your the real deal. I would to pick you brain on how to boost my stickers and emoji app.
really really nice I wish I had crashed in on you guys before today. My instagram account just clocked N2k @_johnakinola and It took almost a full year to get there whereas my younger bro is at 146k @officialsteevane . My biggest challenge is my youtube channel, my highest views are like 32 and with only 6 subscribers . I am almost giving up….
now I'd like to hear about building a brand vs. crushing it and using the internet to grow a business -> ?
22 year old life coaches lol
This guy on something..they way he talks..you can tell…he is Minching and munching on words..
very annoying Garry LOL
BUT YOU ARE THE BEST MAN NOBODY CAN AVOID YOUR CONTENT
WELL BRANDED!!!
Wow, he looks shrinked
Vayniac is a person while VaynerNation is being part of a group
I wonder if you guys read the comments on four year-old videos but anyways, this was both distressing and helpful. I imagine that's the idea here though so job well done?
dude. this guy needs to lay off the redbull and blow. lol
I have been watching your videos for abt 2 months now! I love them & your no-nonsense attitude!!
and twitter use his advice two years later. Wow gary
This video might being misinterpreted by many. It seems like he's contradicting his DOCUMENT over CREATE motto but what he's actually trying to say is this:

Cool advise GVee, never heard you speak on Africa and social media. Now what do think young people in Africa can do to ride on the social media wave? Is Africa receptive of SM yet. what work do you mean you ahve doing from 22 to 32? Can you list them like say 5 activities
