Awesome Tip: What's Greater Than Happiness? | NAC NJ Keynote in 5

We put money and financial success on a pedestal at the expense of our own happiness. So many of you would be much happier if you quit your current job that you hate and made 20% less doing something you actually love every day of your life. Of course, we all need money to survive but once you are living reasonably, the money will not make you significantly happier.

  1. At the end of the day, the point of why we're working hard, is to fulfill a purpose. It's not just to look rich or be wealthy. That is why we need to be founded on what our purpose is, and to protect that purpose from things that cloud our eyes from it.

  2. Here's part of the problem, people today are bombarded with ads from all the shitty guru's telling them to get into click funnels or something else so they can get rich fast. They sell the dream vs the reality and people eat it up like suckers! You see it all over and because of that type of marketing, you have a massive group of people who think that getting rich is something you can do fast as long as you have a cheat sheet from someone and an app to run it all from. People need to read more about stories like Daymond John's who created Fubu. He didn't make a dime in his business for 9 straight years when he started. People also need to wake up and realize that you are in this game for life if you plan to win at all! There is no secret ninja tactics, there is no 5 step plan to success, There is only hard work, failure, and moving forward. The other problem I see all the time is that way too many people sit on Youtube all day watching Gary V videos to get motivated vs being a real practitioner of their business. You see it all the time in the comments……"Gary you inspire me"……OK, then stop watching him and get to work!

  3. Besides what I said earlier this still is a good edutainment video from the One and Only Gavy Vaynerchuk. I like any video that applies the timeless style of keeping it quick, short, and snappy.

  4. 2:43 Right. If a person is sane their circumstances don't have them down. It's their thoughts about their circumstances that have them down. Such as if a person changes the way they look at things, the things they look at will change.

  5. 1:57 Tony Robbins answers that Why? It's because of the two driving forces in all of human behavior. The pursuit of pleasure, and the avoidance of pain. One of the best Mind hacks I learned from him to get yourself to do something when you don't feel like doing it is. Think of all of the pain it will cost you if you don't take action and achieve it, and all the pleasure you will receive when you will accomplish what you want. How he coins it as "using pain and pleasure, instead of letting pain and pleasure use you."

  6. 0:16 through 0:31. My opinion on that. Everyone is medicated on something and always will be. And it doesn't have to be unacceptable to society to be a drug. There are lots of drugs. Such as food, tv, personal development, the internet, the smartphone, etc as the list continues.
