Absolutely loved spending some time in Oslo and Copenhagen giving some keynotes and having some fire side chats discussing different entrepreneurial ventures, ideas, and concepts.

Listen to what I talk about at the beginning of the video during the fire side chat… It’s important for so many of you. Most of you watching this are so young, but think that you can just jump into making money by doing random bullshit… Focus on getting the experience you need in the field that you want to work in first – work for free! You have the time, I promise.

  1. Hey Gary, I am a music artist from Lancaster, PA but now live down in Miami, FL. I moved down to have more of an advantage in the music industry and music scene. Hip hop is growing tremendously in South Florida. I have been looking and searching for answers on social media growth so i can expand my music to a bigger audience. I have thought about reaching out to a social media strategist and paying for their services but I feel i can do it by myself. Could you guide me in the right direction?

  2. “Hiring around two things: 1. everything I don’t want to do 2. Everything I know I’m not as good at the other thing I spend my times on. which mean I’m spending 30% of my time at HR.. that’s what I do sooo special”

  3. @GaryVee

What concrete advice do you have for a young executive assistant to the CEO for a small nonprofit? Focus on results? Being the best at everything you do? Be coachable? Anything else I'm missing?

  4. Takeaway: Trade up. Continue to hack your time. For your dollars.

    Hire around
    1.Everything I don’t want to do
    2.That I know I’m not good at

Only reason don’t. Caught in short term profit. Or ego of looking best or successful.

  5. What you explained in the first 3-4 minutes is exactly why you have such a huge, solid fan base. We all watch your content like crazy to try to extract as much knowledge and wisdom from you as possible. Its the closest we can get to you. Appreciate and love you homie!

  6. It's weird seeing as successful as gary is and then saying he would leave all of this to work for jeff bezos. Can only imagine the stuff that guy knows that gary doesn't which is weird cause it seems gary has it all figured out.

  7. I agree with doing what you have to get there Gary. So many people graduate college wanting to know how they get in and one simple truth is sometimes as you say "You have to eat shit!" If you want something bad enough sometimes you have to offer your service for free until you can build enough credibility and experience to get paid.

  8. Man Gary I just have to say THIS is the video that brought me the clarity I needed man I’ve been following you for a while and have been being way too fancy. That plus a big dose of introversion really guided my way of thinking but THIS video literally was where it clicked on how to as a musician/ aspiring entrepreneur separate my brand for everything else I just wanted to thank you for that and I definitely have to mention it in my music ( btw I want partial ownership in the jets too! I’m going to be there at that meeting lol) seriously tho thank you
