Awesome Tip: Why Voice Will Win | Keynote at VoiceCon 2018

I’m so unbelievably bullish on voice technology because of the convenience of it. Time is everything to us – we will give up money and privacy for time… A lot of us don’t think that we will, but we will.

Let me know what you guys think about this keynote and whether or not you agree with my standpoint on voice technology moving forward… I genuinely don’t think that we have a realistic understanding of how big Voice is really going to be, but let me know your thoughts!

  1. Dear mr Vaynerchuck, lmao lemme cut the bullshit, my names Kevin Maldonado and I’d like to purchase Snapchat one day. I have content that I would one day appreciate it you seen some. Please Vayner nation at New York head quarters, help me reach my goal. If anyone can find this comment, I’ll personally give you my first 1000 dollars that I make from Snapchat. Now, who wants free money?

  2. I've consumed so much of Gary's content and yet each and every time I'm able to take away something valuable.

To the Vayner community, I manage a young artist by the name of Ace Savage and we'd love to make his music available to anyone who needs royalty-free audio for any of their content online.

Check out some of his music below and if you're interested in hearing more unreleased music or downloading it for your content I'd be happy to send it your way. His top 5 songs on Spotify have racked up over 400,000 streams and we have a lot of great music on the way.

Thanks again for the quality content, Gary! I hope to bring value to anyone in the community who's looking for quality, royalty-free music.

  3. I'll play Devil's Advocate. Voice is powerful and a useful technology, but it will stagnate for one reason: you can't walk and chew gum with it. Your hands and brain are excellent multi-taskers, and free up your voice to talk with other people. You can't multi-task talk. It's a slow, weak, and unsatisfying method to interface with technology.

  4. Hey Gary, thanks for everything you're doing, has been a subscriber for like 2 years, you're the man.

I'm hugely convinced on voice, building my own product to help non-tech folks to create skills for Amazon Alexa without coding, you can check it out here: https://getstoryline.com/

We've got about 2k Alexa Skills built and published through our tool in the Amazon App Store already.

Would love to help everyone starting out in this space, if you have any questions or just would love to chat about voice – feel free to shoot me a message at

  5. Gary if I wanted to work with Vaynermedia/You for Google/Alexa Voice & Skills, what would I need to do to make you agree with us working together. Team GaryVee, thanks for such great replies you provide to people, you rock!

  6. Visual media will always trump voice for the simple fact that human biology favors it. Voice has a role to play but I think it's tangential. We use hearing/speech as a secondary sense as our visual cortex takes precedence.

  7. Loved the talk:legit Gary your viewpoint and depth of thought and thinking on voice is amazing-It’s rare thag I find a viewpoint and depth of thinking and I coundnt connect the dots for voice but your thought and communication on it was/extremely helpful and valuable:-wow wow wow Greats- we all are legends we all can be through the communication of independent thinking -straight fire absolutely love it and have respect for you:Let’s conquer let’s fucking GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:12:14am-2nd June 2018

  8. My mom has degenerative discs in her neck because of looking down her whole life at a computer. If looking down for too long is a cause for painful degeneration of the discs in your neck, I can only imagine how many will suffer from this because of cell phones. Hopefully VR and AI will allow us to look up more 😉

  9. I think it will go beyond voice to thought . Already simple thoughts can be uploaded and simple commands are being sent to a computer . Eventually thoughts , feelings will be able to be sent ,so instead of a smile meme you will be actually be able to send happy thoughts .Also learning will be accelerated since knowledge will also be able to be uploaded …. Schools themselves may become obsolete .

  10. So glad you published this, I enjoyed it the first time, and actually, the second time on your Ask Gary Vee podcast, but the third time it's even more compelling. Really appreciate you ringing the bell about Voice and all that it infers for our future. And of course, many thanks for the kind acknowledgement. You're a mensch and a half. Heck, Two and a Half Mensch! See you again.

  11. Amazing content Gary, you’re really inspirational and the emotion and passion you have about what you say, resonates with me very well. Truly one of a kind man and you make a great teacher!

I just wanted to bring you to another emerging trend that’s really going to takeover which you probably know about since you’ve come onto twitch and the gaming industry but it’s VR. I feel like for certain businesses that can’t immerse themselves into sound deep because they require picture would somehow find there way into Virtual Reality so I think in the near future it will be Voice and VR taking over! Thanks Gary hope you see this!

  12. Voice to action. That is an interesting concept and I can envision lots of applications. This is not to get into religion but Genesis describes how God spoke the universe into existence. I'm not looking to debate belief, it is the creation story that puts the concept of voice to action into a different light and provides a way to position the product. Visualize a dark screen and a deep voice says "let there be light" and the screen goes white. The voice to action device slowly pans into the screen. The caption "what will you create today" fades onto the screen with the product name.
